C.P. Food Products, Inc. is committed to sustainability in every step of our process, starting with aquaculture. CP Group owns all of its own shrimp hatcheries and feed mills, a sustainable farming practice. Our shrimp fries are carefully inspected and are pathogen-free, disease-resistant and fast-growing. We use no antibiotic medicines, but instead use probiotics to inhibit pathogen growth. We believe that sustainability is the key to the future of our earth, so our methods are as eco-friendly as possible.
The fundamental principles of our farming and production processes are based on animal welfare, concern for the environment and safe and drug-residual-free products. All of our facilities have adopted strict measures to prevent any possible environmental impact from their operations.
To achieve this goal, we are helping to preserve the environment by planting mangrove trees in coastal areas affected by our farms. We have a mangrove nursery and replanting and forest monitoring programs. Mangroves thrive in salt water and help protect coastlines by trapping sediment to help provide structure for the coastlines, and they also act as a barrier between the water and land, protecting costal communities from the impact of waves.
